My name is Hayden Hassan and I never thought I would be pursuing a career as a writer, let alone content creator. Ever since I was young I was fascinated with stories and characters. Above all others I loved super heroes. When I was three years old I saw my first super hero movie, Spider-Man by Sam Raimi! This movie changed my life more than I ever could have known. I was obsessed with Spider-Man when I was a kid and I never really stopped admiring the character. I love many other stories and IP’s don’t get me wrong, but Spider-Man started it all for me.

When I was in middle school I had kind of fallen out of love with superheroes and a lot of pop-culture. I still played video games and read occasionally, but it was not nearly as important to me as it was in my youth. However, I had something akin to a resurgence for my love of the medium in high school. The MCU was at the peak of its fame, comics were great, and video games had come a long was since 2002 when I was born. I fell back in love hard with comics and video games around COVID when everyone had to quarantine. I had also started working out when I got into high school which only made me love and respect the characters from those mediums even more.

Once I graduated High school, I started attending my local university for a pre-med degree to be a doctor. I think the main reason I did this was because of the money and job security. My mother was also a nurse so I was familiar with the medical industry. However, in 2024, my mother’s health dipped pretty bad and she passed away on February 22, 2024. I took this pretty hard. I dropped out of college because my mothers passing was a wake up call that I didn’t want to be a doctor. Not because I was failing or didn’t respect the industry. Because I didn’t love the work and I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life doing something I didn’t want to.

It’s been two years now since mama passed and I have learned to live with it. In a way it reminded me even more of the things I love. In that time frame I got into anime and manga and my eyes were opened to a whole other side to the arts industry. I became a Zelda and Final Fantasy 7 fan which blew me away that I had missed out on two of the greatest gaming franchises for so long. I run on a bit long now, and there will be plenty of opportunities for me to get into the nitty-gritty of who I am.
